Some six or so years later, here I am again. I can’t prove it but those who have stuck with me long enough will know that I used to own this domain back in my college days. It wasn’t much, just a little blog with a lot of prattle and indulgent selfies before the term was coined. I was part of a small, close-knit blogroll that unfortunately wilted one by one. Some no longer felt the need to confide in a little text box; others like myself tired of the petty drama.
Over the silent years, I tried to recapture what I’d lost when I said goodbye. There were a lot of sad attempts. My latest one was a tech blog that only had five posts to show for it. It was never the same. Reclaiming my beloved little town felt like coming home.
A lot has happened since I took down my blog all those years ago. I left college, lost my dad to cancer, got married, and now I’m looking forward to moving to another city. It’s been a long, hard transition from air-headed college student to still air-headed working adult. I won’t say everything that’s transpired has been a blessing, but such is life, and life is always something to be thankful for.
