Taiwan 2014: All the Rest

Hello everyone, I’m back in the US! We landed a few days ago, but I’ve been taking this time to rest and get over my jetlag and post-vacation blues. Going back to work yesterday was rough but it’s time to go back to regular life.

I don’t know how I feel about the vacation overall. We simply didn’t have enough time to do everything we wanted because we had so many family gatherings to go to (literally every single day and there’s always some relative I haven’t met; I couldn’t keep up!). Read more…

Taiwan 2014: Sunflower Student Movement

Getting on my laptop is a rare thing on this vacation because we’re out all the time. We get home late at night, go to bed, and then get up in the morning to leave again. I have a huge backlog of photos to go through once I have more time, but I thought I should share a few pictures I took when I visited the Sunflower Movement site a few days ago.

For those who don’t know, the Sunflower Student Movement began almost three weeks ago when the Taiwanese government passed the CSSTA (a trade pact with China) without extensive review. Read more…
