Outdoor outfit

Xhiliration blouse, Aeropostale jeans, shoes and purse from Taiwan, Forever 21 earrings, Guess sunglasses, Aldo watch

This was actually last week’s outfit that I only got around to posting now. I try to plan when I post, but I get easily distracted by other things. Right now, it’s replaying Harvest Moon: Boy and Girl on my PSP Emulator. I played the original game on the Playstation 1 when I was a kid (called Back to Nature at the time), and it remains to be my favorite HM iteration. I’m playing the Girl version now which wasn’t available then. I have a lot to say about the story which I should probably save for another post. Told you I get distracted!

Anyway, on to the outfit! I wore it to an outdoor picnic for Michael’s volunteer clinic. He goes there twice a week to help out, and he received a certificate for putting in over 250 hours this past year. I’m so proud of him!

I seem to talk about my marriage a lot. I apologize for anyone who seems annoyed! I know some people can’t stand others who only talk about their significant others, but we’ve only been married a little over a year so I suppose we’re still in our honeymoon phase. More importantly, being married is teaching me a lot about life, family, and most of all myself. I’m sure all this learning is just the start of it too. I’ve been told that it won’t be easy being a doctor’s wife in the future, and I don’t expect it to be. I knew what I was getting into when I said yes. But I’m getting distracted again.

Pink shoes

My shoes and purse were from Taiwan, and they were very cheap too! I really do regret not being able to shop more there but there wasn’t enough time. That just means we have to go back someday! I tried not to be too matchy-matchy with the colors. That’s a bad habit of mine from my all-black phase. I actually struggle with colors but I’m trying to improve while still not looking like a pack of Skittles.

  1. I love the colour of your top! One of my favourites. I also don’t think you should feel bad about talking about being married. It’s such a HUGE part of life, that I don’t see how you WOULDN’T talk about it!

    1. Thanks! It was pretty affordable. I don’t buy a lot of high-end stuff. :’D

I always feel hesitant talking about my marriage because a lot of my friends are still single. They believe in waiting longer, and I agree with them. That’s just not how my own life panned out, you know?

  2. I absolutely love your outfit here! The purse and the shoes are so lovely!
That’s amazing that he’s put in so many hours, congratulations, you must be so proud! It’s great that you talk about him, I mean he’s obviously a huge part of your life and it’s lovely to hear that you guys are so happy together :)

  3. I really like your outfit! It’s simple and I like simple. I’m already having trouble adjusting to sharing moments with someone nonetheless actually living with someone like yourself, but even so, I understand what you’re saying. But I also think that learning new things about yourself, about your surroundings, and about your lover is also a lovely experience too.

    1. Thanks! I used to feel the same way. I didn’t know what a healthy relationship was in the past, and I had major trust issues. It took me a long time to get over it, and I still struggle sometimes.

  4. It’s never a bad thing to keep touching on your marriage; this is your blog, it speaks who you are and of your life so you should never apologize for it! I love reading about people’s adventures and journey, that’s what connects us all.
Funny thing… I was just thinking of getting a PSP today, and here you are mentioning it in your post.

  5. The only Harvest Moon I’ve played was on the Gamecube, and I got really addicted to it, haha. I should look into the other ones :)

Cute outfit! I especially like the top! I’m trying to get out of my “all-black” phase right now, especially after realizing how many black tops I have. I don’t think you should have to apologize for writing about your marriage though. It’s your blog and it’s a big part of your life, so you shouldn’t feel bad about it!

    1. You should definitely try Back to Nature! It’s the best Harvest Moon in my opinion! :D The characters are fleshed out way better, plus if you play the girl version the guy proposes to you. XD

  6. Your outfit is cute. I like how you paired those colors together. Your purse is sweet. I’d love to add it to my collection. hint hint. lol

If I was married I’d talk about my husband everyday, all day. I would imagine the honeymoon phase to be a wonderful experience.

    1. Lol it’s a very cheap purse from Taiwan. You can probably find something similar in Chinatown! :D

It is! Well, he drives me crazy with some of his habits already but all in all, I think we’re happy.

  7. Congrats on your husbands volunteer work!
And hey, it’s your blog and if you want to talk about your marriage, go for it! Its always nice to see a couple this in love.

    Cute outfit!

  8. You’re definitely rocking your outfit! I like how the blue goes together so well :). I feel you about the distractions, haha. That was me last week with 2048. Hopefully you’re having fun with replaying Harvest Moon! Congratulations to Michael for volunteering over 250 hours! Is it this year so far or within a 365 day year? Either way, that’s amazing! I find nothing wrong with talking about your significant other. If they’re a part of your life, you have all grounds to talk about them.. Unless you’re going over some topic that some people may be sensitive to, that’s debatable. Definitely keep yourself busy because with more things to do, those other thoughts about being with a busy man won’t matter as much :).

    1. Omg 2048 was all I did on the train in Taiwan! I was pretty close to winning but ugh I always mess up in the end.

I believe it’s in the last 365 days. :D And thank you! I already keep myself pretty busy with a ton of hobbies. Sometimes I wonder if we spend enough time together, haha!

  9. I don’t think you should ever apologize for being happy or for being in a happy marriage. You are in your honeymoon stage, but here’s to wishing you a long, healthy, & successful marriage. It’d be annoying if you just talked about how you weren’t a person until you married Michael or that everyone who isn’t married will just never know how amazing it is to be married…then you’ll probably start stepping on some toes hahaha. I think it’s safe to say most people love reading about happy, positive relationships. Haven’t really noticed that you’ve talked about your marriage to Michael to an extent that it’s annoying! He’s a significant part of your life & I’m proud of him too! That’s so fantastic of him!!

I loveeeee your top! Love the shoes too. Meh, be colorful. Matching too much is a bit overrated! I love that you mix things up, just don’t go orange & pink + light blue anytime soon & you’ll be fine!

    1. Haha I actually advocate being single and waiting before marriage! I did it pretty young, but I know it’s not for everyone even if it worked out for me. I had a pretty wild college life so I’m totally fine with settling down now.
