I have an X on my cheek because last night, I went to the Eastern State Penitentiary’s Terror Behind the Walls. I don’t recall ever being in a haunted house before, and I quickly learned that I get surprised very easily. I don’t hide it either. I’ll let out how scared I am without hesitation. That just made me a sitting duck target for all the actors. I was jumping and screaming everywhere, much to Michael’s dismay.

But it was still so much fun! Sure, I got scared a lot but I really appreciated all the work the actors and set crew put into the place. If you’re ever in Philly at this time of year, you should definitely check out Terror Behind the Walls. Or maybe just take the day tour because the penitentiary has awesome architecture. The prison proper stopped operating in 1971 so it’s more of a historical site now. Seriously, check out these gargoyles!

My friends and I ate at Philly Flavors after the haunted house. There are a lot of places to eat around the area, but they were all crowded (no doubt, because of the event). I suggested this place because I liked the decor. I want that blue paint!

Oh, before I forget (AGAIN), I bleached my hair! I’m officially blonde now. I have been since my previous outfit post and I’ve been sporting this color for over a month now. I really like it. My hair’s much shorter now too but not on purpose. I tried to trim my hair by myself to save money and time, and it ended up shorter than I planned. I’m loving my new hair though! I learned a lot about cutting short hair by myself, so hopefully next time I won’t slip up.

I ordered a deep fried hotdog sandwich and an ice cream sandwich which I swear is the size of two burgers. The sandwich alone is worth a full day of calories. I still ate the whole thing. No regrets!

I had a great night all in all. It’s rare that I get to go out like this nowadays. I’ve been very busy lately with my web development internship and then working nights. More on that soon!

  1. Been dreaming of going blonde too, though I’m not sure if it will look good on me. It took some time for me to get used to the color of my current hair so who knows, it might only be just a matter of getting used to as well. I still have yet to DIY dye my hair though.

And yay for that Divisoria top! ;)

    1. Do it!!! You won’t know until you try. I was really shocked when I first went blonde, and I wanted to go back to light brown since that was familiar. But now I love it. :D

  2. Haunted houses knows how to keep themselves spooky and scary! Even though you got scared several times, at least you had fun! I’m digging the blue stripes in the background! Your hair looks really nice too~

The hot dog sandwich looks delicious! And are you serious? The sandwich is 2000 calories?!?! That’s crazy!

    Good luck with everything!

  3. Squeal, I’m sporting the same hair length! Finally over the awkward phase in growing out a pixie cut. This hairstyle suits you.

I wanted to try bleaching my hair as well (white!), but chickened out. Did you do it by yourself?

It’s the easily surprised people that are the most fun to go to spooky houses with. Scary movies, roller coasters, anything that triggers that two-metre-instant-jump-in-the-air-scream.

    1. Short hair power! XD

I did bleach it myself. I had to do it twice to get my black hair to blonde, but it was totally worth it. You should go for it!
