This past week has been a blur of work, side projects, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. I didn’t get a real break until last night when my agency held their annual bash. Fun people, good music, and open bar. Got TURNT. We did leave early though because Michael was too far gone and I wanted to game, but as soon as I got home, I felt like mush and went to bed. ~*The glam city life*~

But no hangover. That’s something, yeah?

I’ve been downplaying my excitement for DA:I on this blog, but I’m so stoked that it’s finally here! No spoilers, so this entry will be a short one.

Pro-tip if you’re just starting out: Leave the Hinterlands, for Maker’s sake! I was stuck there for eight hours trying to clear all the side quests, but this isn’t Skyrim and the plot has to move for the game to stay interesting. Once I got the completionist in me under control, I started to truly enjoy the game.

Dragon Age Inquisition

Dem graphics doe. This game is gorgeous! Shelling out for my custom gaming build was totally worth it. I’m liveblogging my playthrough on Tumblr if you’re interested and don’t mind getting spoiled.

I’ve been kicking ass at work, and I’m getting some Ruby on Rails practice down in my spare time. I have a couple of side projects in the works. I hope to finish them by next month. Wish me luck!

I don’t have much room for anything else besides work, side projects, and DA:I right now, but I don’t mind. Life’s good. :)

  1. It sounds like you had a pretty busy week! It’s great when you get to drink all you want and don’t have a hangover the morning after! Hope you’re enjoying Dragon Age so far~ The game looks pretty interesting. And even more plus with that total HD graphicczzz. I wish the best with all of your work!

  2. It took me ages to realise I can leave The Hinterlands! I was there for hours, and then got fed up and wanted to go back to Haven to build the watchtowers. I’m finding it a bit glitchy on Xbox 360 though, wish I had a great rig or a next gen console to really appreciate it!
Sounds like you had a good night – no hangover the next day is always good!

    1. It wasn’t until I read a PSA on r/DragonAge to leave that I finally did. Now, I gather just enough power for the next area/quest and move on.

It’s glitchy on PC too! I’ve been taking screenshots and videos. Some of them are really funny.
