I’m thinking of compiling my OOTD posts into two or three outfits in one post. I enjoy documenting what I wear, and it motivates me to take better care of myself, but I also don’t want it to take over my blog. I like discussing other things too. Perhaps I’ll post a compilation every other week? We’ll see how this format goes.
I was feeling a little lazy on one of our grocery runs, so I defaulted to this outfit. This is what my typical work getup looks like, minus the shoes. I usually wear my snow boots or my running shoes. My work commute includes a six-block walk from the subway station and back, so comfortable shoes are a huge priority for me. I do enjoy the walk though. It shakes off the last bits of grogginess in the morning. I work at a small creative agency, so I’m fortunate to be able to dress casually everyday.
I’ve had these boots since freshman year in college! My mom bought them for me, and they’ve lasted me a very long time. Although the heels are starting to give, so I’ll have to take them to a cobbler soon. The jacket is super comfortable and has quickly become one of my everyday work coats when it’s chilly out. My other one would be my dark blue pea coat.
Now that it’s (technically) spring, I’m wearing lighter colors more often! Long time no see, peach pants. The weather's back to being cold, but we did enjoy a week of sun before a chain of cloudy days. I have yet to experience spring fever (as I usually do this time of the year), because the flowers haven't returned. Come on, spring. Get here already!
It was really windy and this was the only mildly decent picture I got. I’ve had this jacket for about a year too, although it’s another one of those things I don’t wear nearly enough. Surprisingly, it’s still for sale at Syndrome Store.
And I’m so in love with the necklace. I got it for cheap when we were at Walmart lololol. One day, I’ll buy real jewelry. I tend to keep my accessories simple. That is, I don’t wear too many at once. Usually, it’s just my watch and a chunky necklace or large earrings. It’s one of those things I’ve “uniformed” for sanity’s sake.
I can’t say enough how much I love my hair color. <3 It hasn't faded too badly since I've been using dry shampoo and sulfate-free products. And I'm glad my curls survived all that wind! I just used Conair Instant Heat 1″ Curling Iron. I don’t know about you guys, but this cheap curling iron works the best for me. I’ve tried pricier brands but I always go back to this one. I didn’t even use any hairspray, and my curls lasted all day.
