Another quick review before the month closes out! I received this month’s Wantable makeup package promptly in the beginning of August, however I wasn’t able to write this entry until now because of other life things. You know how it is.
Here’s what I received this month. I’m afraid I might have already recycled the sheet listing out the haul, but no matter! There is good ol’ Google to help me out.
- Lashem Color Strokes Brow Tint and Lift in Raven
- Spellbound Nail Lacquer in Snap Dragon
- Cattiva Bronzer Highlighter Mineral Duo
- Pout Shout! Lip Gloss in Girl Time
I’m amused to receive another bottle of Spellbound polish, with another crooked cap no less! They really should fix that. Nonetheless, I love this color so much! Red polish has always looked good on my hands, and the slight orange tones of this red complement my yellow skin tone perfectly. I used Sally Hansen’s Big Matte Top Coat for a non-glossy finish. My nails looked beautiful.
Cattiva’s packaging is very flashy. I was definitely wowed upon unboxing it. I opened it to feel a little disappointed that it didn’t come with a brush or puff despite a pop open panel underneath the highlighter and bronzer, but it’s not a huge deal as I have a sizable collection of my own brushes.
Here’s what it looks like inside. I’ve never actually used highlighter before this, and frankly, I don’t know why I didn’t start sooner! I’m not generous with my application but I think it still makes a difference. I’ll have to keep practicing to get better at it. I can definitely say that the bronzer is pretty nice. I didn’t come across any problems with this duo.
This brow gel works pretty well. Unfortunately, it doesn’t match my hair color at the moment. I did say that my eyebrows were black during my Wantable quiz, so I can’t fault them for this. This one will have to wait until I go darker which might be soon.
This lip gloss is my absolute favorite out of the box. FINALLY THE PERFECT NUDE SHADE FOR ME. Although to call it a lip gloss is a stretch; it’s more like liquid lipstick because it’s extremely pigmented. Just one dip was more than enough to cover my lips with color, and there was a lot.
I was a little irked because there was so much product and it was very, very close to my skin tone. I had to dab some of it out with tissue paper, but after that, hot damn my lips were gorg. Bless Wantable for this lip gloss. I'm so in love.
Here’s a quick sampling of the makeup I got. I’m also using Ferro blush in Desert Rose which I received in my previous box. My contouring was very subtle, but I really like this look. MY LIP SHADE DOE.
Overall, I’m very happy with this month’s box. Definitely a huge leap forward from my first box, which honestly wasn’t that bad either. My experience with Wantable has been very positive so far, and I’m more than happy to stay subscribed to them. However, I will be taking a break from their makeup lineup next month to try out their accessories instead. Can’t wait!
