My Favorite Things banner

Is it really time for another My Favorite Things linkup? Feels like just two weeks ago when the last one opened. @_@ Time’s flying way too quickly! Well, December’s here and soon we’ll be ushering in a new year. Too soon man, too soon.

But let’s get back to the linkup where we share all the things we love, co-hosted with my good friend Eirene. We get together every first Tuesday of the month to share our favorites, and we’d love to hear about yours!

Mass Effect: Andromeda N7 Day Trailer

November 7th was N7 Day, and Bioware slayed me with a new Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer. BECAUSE SHEPARD PASSING THE TORCH ASKHFD jUSstT FuCKKKk Me uP. She’s saying goodbye??? I CAN’T HANDLE THIS.

Ugh, Bioware. I wish I could quit you. You hurt me then give me hope. STOP.

Fallout 4

Speaking of hurting, Bethesda what’s good? Fallout 4 is my life right now, but you all knew that. ;) I finished the main quest over the weekend after some major soul-searching. I still have plenty of content left to go through, so I’m gonna keep on playing. I’m drafting out a review that I hope to publish soon!

Jane the Virgin

I started watching Jane the Virgin last month after I remembered that Eirene listed it out as a fave before. I couldn’t stop! The basic premise is Jane is saving herself for marriage, but she gets accidentally inseminated at a supposedly routine PAP smear. Her baby daddy is super hot. ‎( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The show plays up a lot of telenovela tropes which I am all over. My grandmother used to watch telenovelas when I was a kid, and I’d tune in with her much to my mom’s chagrin. I am living for this.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

I am obviously CW trash right now, but I’ve been enjoying Crazy Ex-Girlfriend too. The title might sound off-putting, but as Rebecca said, the situation is much more nuanced than that. She’s an ex-girlfriend with issues independent of her past relationship.

I really appreciate this show’s depiction of Josh and his family. You don’t get a lot of Filipino representation in Western media, if at all. I’ve also been a fan of Rachel Bloom for a while now. I love her songs and she, um… has a great rack. Go her! XD Check out one of the show’s songs, “West Covina.” Oh yeah, it’s a musical!

That’s it for my faves this month! Check out the rules (more like guidelines) below if you’d like to join our linkup. :D

  1. Fallout 4 has been quite the talk in the gaming circles when it came out (and even before)! I don’t think I will play it, but I will definitely be watching a playthrough of it soon. :)

Also, I finally joined a linkup for the first time (this one)! It’s very exciting! :D

I have seen some of the Fallout 4 and it looks awesome… I’m afraid to go near it! Crazy Ex-Girlfriend might seem down my alley so I’ll have to look for it. I wonder if I have CW … lol

  4. I’m a big Bethesda fan! Skyrim is one of my all time favourite games and I used to play Fallout 3 before. My boyfriend recently bought Fallout 4 and I’ve watched him play it quite a lot. It looks super cool and I really want to try it! I’m just trying to decide if I should buy the game for myself or just wait ’til my bf grows tired of it so I can play with his copy…
