I have an X on my cheek because last night, I went to the Eastern State Penitentiary’s Terror Behind the Walls. I don’t recall ever being in a haunted house before, and I quickly learned that I get surprised very easily. I don’t hide it either. I’ll let out how scared I am without hesitation. Timeshares and Freebies

This weekend I attended a timeshare presentation for an acquaintance. She “won” a free trip to Disneyland, on the condition that she attend the presentation. The snag was they were looking for married couples, so she turned to me and Michael. I wasn’t too enthusiastic about it, but she promised us free dinner so I agreed to go. I will do almost anything for free food.

For those wondering, and this is from what I understand, a timeshare is real estate ownership divided among a group of people for use at their appointed time. Read more…

Summer Movies and Summer Hair

Summer is my favorite season movie-wise because that’s the time for fun action-packed films. When I see a movie with friends, I’m all about explosions and fight scenes that don’t require much thought. I like good dialogue and a tight script too, but action movies are always a better choice for outings. I don’t know if that’s just me. I prefer to watch biopics and indie films by myself, where I don’t have to explain everything and I’m not worrying if the person with me is enjoying it or not. Read more…

Butter, Lamb, and Other Lamb

I spent the last night at a quaint Indian bistro with some friends. It looked so unassuming from outside, located between a Quiznos and a Jack in the Box, but as soon as you stepped in the atmosphere completely changes. Warm, a faint spicy smell in the air, and Bhangra music to make you feel welcome. I was excited to finally have Indian food after so long. It’s one of my favorite cuisines next to Japanese food. There were only so many tables, and we didn’t have a reservation, so we were lucky to be seated. Read more…
