This is my first post of the year, in April. How is everyone doing? I always meant to write sooner. I had it in my mind that I would come back with something meaningful about my hiatus, yet I had nothing. The truth is, I just needed a break.

Returning to WoW

It’s been four months since I renewed my World of Warcraft subscription. Being absent for six years meant I had a lot to catch up on, and indeed the game has changed a lot while I was gone. For the better, I believe.

I don’t have the free time nor level of commitment I did the last time I played back in Wrath of the Lich King in 2010, but Legion remains a lot of fun to play. The game’s barrier to entry has been lowered a lot for new and casual players. Read more…

Games of the Moment

I’ve been gaming a lot lately, much more than usual! I normally only play for a few hours a week, but if I get sucked into a game, new or old, I can sink weeks into it. Usually it’s only one game, but I’ve been divvying up my free time over several games.

I’ve also made a lot of friends in-game over the last few weeks which has made playing much more enjoyable. I usually get several invites each time I log on Overwatch, both a blessing and a curse. Read more…

Ten Things I Love About Overwatch


By the looks of the comment section in my last post, it seems that everyone and their mother has heard of Overwatch. I watched Day9‘s playthroughs of it during closed beta, but I didn’t decide to purchase it until the actual release. Both a good and bad decision because this game has taken over my life!

I haven’t had much experience with multiplayer FPS save for a very brief stint in Team Fortress 2, so I’m very green to the scene. Read more…

Timeless Thoughts: World of Warcraft

In the summer of 2010, my then-boyfriend Michael introduced me to World of Warcraft. I’ve never played an MMORPG before. It was completely new to me, but little did I know that it would define my life for the next six months. I loved every minute of it.

I had no idea what to do at first, but I chose the mage class because magic is cool. I then picked Forsaken for my race as we played on the Horde side. Read more…
