Taiwan 2014: Buildings and Shrines

Alternative Title: Days Two and Three!

I haven’t had the chance to wander around and explore by myself. So far, I’ve spent my time meeting Michael’s relatives who have been so wonderful. I was afraid of the language barrier at first, but they’ve been really welcoming towards me. I should get serious about learning Chinese so I can get to know them all better without relying on my husband to translate for me. Perhaps I’ll take formal classes when I get back to the US. Taiwan 2014: Post One

Hello from Taiwan! I began this blog post while we were on a four-hour layover in Korea, but I was pretty tired so I spent the rest of my time eating sandwiches and watching YouTube videos. They’d crack and bleed at their worst and it’s pretty painful and annoying. Right now, taking iron supplements (a tip I got from a random woman who had the same problem, thanks lady!) and Nivea lip butter every night help a lot. Read more…

My New Baby (Spoiler: It’s a Computer)

Michael built a custom gaming computer for me last week! I’ve always wanted one and I am beyond excited you guys. I had him order all of the parts for me because I have no idea about building rigs, but he’s done it plenty of times and I trusted him completely to know what I need. I just asked him what I should budget, and I’ll save up for it. He told me to save a grand. WTF! I knew it was gonna be pricey but not that much. Read more…
